  This is before my time and looks like a reproduction, so I cannot attest to its accuracy. It looks pretty good though.  This is the WBZ pattern I remember growing up. This aired into the 1980's and, like virtually all patterns of that era, had a slide as a source.  I am not from this area, so I cannot say for sure, but I think this a pretty accurate depiction of what New Orleanians woke up to in the 50's and 60's. UPDATE: I verified the accuracy of this test pattern with a veteran television engineer who is a native of the area. It is indeed the real McCoy, although he could not recall for sure whether it was broadcast in color or black and white.
